Thanks to our friend Joe at fintalk.com, we have a new script here at the Go Fishing Forum! We used Joe's version of the script and tweaked it up to do what we wanted it to do here and we are now ready to unveil it!

- Sample Tide Prediction Graph Output
There are a few tide locations in our database that are not available. If you are looking for a tide prediction from a particular location and it is not available in our script, please let me know and I'll look into adding it. Also, if you find one that's not being displayed when you click the link, let me know. We're very excited about this new capability at Go Fishing Forum and hope that you will get some good use out of it. Remember that the predictions are for reference and planning purposes only! If your life depends on the prediction being correct, then go talk to the folks at NOAA! Good luck out there!

Yeah, it's pretty hot, huh?! I got a comment from one guy who wants a better print format - so I'll be adding links to the site for each tide table that will popup a page to print a single day's data so that you can take it out on the boat with you for reference.

Here is another comment that I received. Chuck was kind enough to let me post the comment here. It has some good information in it. Chuck Ash wrote:Rick, Nice job on the tide chart. My guiding in AK is primarily freshwater on rivers, but I do some saltwater work up here. More importantly, I have a winter place in FL and fish there 2-3 months each winter. I primarily fly fish for reds, so tide knowledge is critical. Knowing the times and ranges are important, but the graph is equally so and many tide sites don't have graphs. There are days on the Gulf Coast where there is only one tide change/day. Let's say it shows a low of -0.7 at 5:30 am and a high of 1.7 at 6:15 pm. If you looked just at time and range data you would assume that the tide is on a steady rise from 5:30 am until 6:15 pm, but if you look at a graph of most single tide days you will find that there is a flat spot in the rise sometime during the day. That's critical data because the fishing goes as flat as the tide then. A suggestion might be to expand this to the Bahamas stations. There are a lot of bonefishermen who would like that data to select the best time for a trip there. Chuck Ash Brightwater Alaska, Inc http://www.brightwateralaska.com
In response to this comment... The Bahamas don't appear to be included in the tide data that we pull from, so we probably won't be adding the Bahamas anytime soon. Thanks for the kind comment Chuck! Tight lines to you, Sir!

Searchability has been added to the tide predictions. So, if you only want to see Potomac River tides in Maryland, or just the "Rudee" tide locations in Virginia - just enter it as such on the tide pages search function and click the "Search Tide Stations" button. Another excellent addition to the tide functionality at GoFishingForum.net! Enjoy!

I'm open to suggestions if you think something could be made easier by adding a link or making a font larger somewhere or something.

Another addition to the pages...
On the printable single day tide report page, you can now change the date that is displayed so you can print any day that you want, not just the current day.

Added a nice little "Moon Phase" script to the left menu of the tide pages. It's very sexy. tide_stations.pl

I'm glad you like it Jamie. It gets a lot of hits and has helped get this site to #2 in my topsites list...even more hits than All in General!
Are you finding that the tide predictions are fairly accurate?
