Spinnerbait Rigging

Postby dewman357 on Tue Apr 10, 2007 11:50 am

I am a newcomer to freshwater bass fishing, and I recently bought a rod/reel setup, and some new lures. I picked up a couple of new spinnerbait lures, and for the life of me I can't figure out how to rig them up.

Dew,

Thanks for joining us and I hope we can help with all of your questions.
If it does not have an eye to tie on too then tie the line where the wire bends. Tie a tight knot and then you are ready. There are several ways to fish this bait. Cast it out and reel it in at different speeds. In deep water reel it and pause letting it fall and then reel. Then you can reel it and give it a slite jerk while you are reeling.

Check the upper left portion of this picture and notice the sharp bend in the wire (R bend) and if you look close you can see where I tied my Palomar knot to the lure.

This a one of my Secret Weapon Lures spinnerbaits that I use quite often. You may slo notice that I have customized, adding a few strands of red to my skirt ;)

Hope you find this useful
