Custom Bamboo Flyrods

Postby Canerod on Wed Apr 18, 2007 10:45 am

In addition to guiding hunting and fishing adventures, I am a bamboo rodmaker. Check out http://www.highcountryguideservice.com/rodmaking.html
for more details and pricing. I am currently taking orders for Jan-Feb '08 delivery, so this is a great time to get an heirloom-quality rod for next season.

It sounds like you:
a) know what you're doing and
b) pay great attention to the detail in your custom crafted rods.

If I was in the market for a custom built fly rod, I would certainly look you up!

D.C.,
Whenever you're ready, let me know. I used to guide in the 'Glades and down at Flamingo, so I can make a bamboo rod for the salt. Impregnated finish, AL hardware, Ti ferrules, and SS snakes. I've got a 9wt 8'6" that I've landed several tarpon and boatloads of snook on. It's a great med-fast taper (for bamboo), and upkeep is no more than what you would do to take care of your reel after a day out on the water.

Thanks for the compliments, guys!
