hook straightend by fish

hook straightend by fish

a gille once told me that a fisherman with him had hooked on to a good salmon of about 16lb and his hook completely straightend and slipped out of the salmons mouth. has anyone ever had the same experiance?

I have straightened out a hook while fighting large "Tree Stump Bass". Those suckers put up a hell of a fight. I am rarely able to get my lure back after on of them gets ahold of it! :)
