Made adidas clearance sale in Germany, the home of the annual beer festival, the München shoes are inspired by the traditional lederhosen worn at the event and feature a full grain leather upper, leather lining and embroidery. The design of the leather foot lining is in keeping with the traditional red and white checked Oktoberfest-style shirts, while ‘Prost’ is emblazoned in gold on the side of each shoe. The shoes are also water-repellent, guarding wearers against the almost inevitable beer spills. In a promotional video, it is stated that the shoes are made from the “finest leather with DPBR coating, ” DPBR allegedly standing for ‘durable puke and beer repellent’. In a statement, the brand added: “Adidas Originals has thought of every obstacle. To withstand the rigors of the ‘Oktoberfest, ’ the shoe will come with a water-repellent – and most importantly, a beer-repellent – treatment. With this ‘Oktoberfesterisation’ the sneaker will survive every beer shower”. The shoe's exterior is a fall-colored brown and gold with a lederhosen-inspired design, while the interior resemble a adidas zx uk sale classic Oktoberfest checked red-and-white tablecloth. On the side, “Prost” is stitched right above the iconic three stripes, meaning “Cheers” in German. The made-in-Germany shoes are “made from the finest leather, ” as stated in an Adidas ad, and overall they look a lot like other Adidas sneakers. Except for the little extra kick – the “DPBR coating. ”The coating is a new exclusive feature Adidas is rolling out – and it stands for Durable Puke and Beer Repellent.
