Simcoe Ice Conditions

Postby Whitey on Sat Dec 11, 2010 5:56 pm

Hi to all of our friends in the US!!! Thought we'd do a quick post for those that love to come up and fish lake simcoe. As of today (Dec 11, 2010), the south end of cooks bay, lake simcoe is 75% frozen. Of course this is new ice only formed over the past 5 days so it is as yet unsafe. Mother nature is being nice and we hope that with cold temps continuing the bay will close up and the ice will thicken in time for fishing during the first week of January. We have taken a couple of videos over the past few days and posted them on our site at http://www.simcoefishingadventures.com We will continue to post videos and reports on our site through the freeze up and once we get out fishing!
Please check out our site for daily hut rentals and all inclusive packages at our B&B. We'd love to get you out there!
Cheers
