South Florida Bass Fishing Report 5-14-08

Postby peacock08 on Wed May 14, 2008 10:59 am

Yesterday we were out bass fishing in the South Florida everglades and boated 33 largemouth up to 4 lbs. It was slower than usually because of a slight front that brought high winds the day before. Today we had no wind or clouds to break up the water surface. The Everglades can become quite clear this time of year and we need that the surface to be rippled somewhat for the best fishing. We did see quite a few swirls on the surface after our baits but the fish wouldn't commit. As the water continues to drop and heat up the fishing should only last about 1 to 3 more months. After that the heavy rains and pumping of the water will force the bass back into the flats and makes them much more difficult to locate. :clapping:
