Fishing for bass and peacock bass over the last week has been awesome. We fished for bass in the South Florida Everglades on two different trips and landed about 120 largemouth to 5 lbs. Peacock bass fishing in Miami has been good also. Friday April 18th Jim Reed and his son-in-law Barry boated 28 peacocks to 5 1/4 lbs. which is a nice trophy. On Tuesday we fished the Miami International airport lakes and boated 16 peacocks to 4 lbs. Jim and Barry and I landed 68 largemouth on Monday in the Everglades off of alligator alley to 4 lbs. and missed many more and a few that were bigger. South Florida water levels are dropping now that summer is here so fishing should be great for a few more months until the afternoon showers and thunderstorms arrive with the hurricane season.
