Winter is the time for bass fishing on this lake! SWEPCO is heated by a coal burning power plant and water temps are in the upper 60's to mid 80's all winter long. There are big Florida strain largemouth bass in this 500 acre lake in Gentry Arkansas. We have been catching 25-40 bass a day. Size has not been there so far this year, the bigest was close to five pounds. Lot's of 2 to 3 pounders are caught daily though! I prefer to use live minnows over anything else there. Outstanding lake if anyone wants to make the trip over!
