dogfish regulations

Postby dogfishdevastation on Sat Aug 08, 2009 7:51 pm

Hi,

Can everyone please take a minute to visit this website http://www.dogfishdevastation.com

It explains a lot of information about the problem commercial and recreational fishermen are having with dogfish particularly along the East Coast.

With new regulations pending, I think it's really important to sign the petition listed there.

Thank you!

....or in 35 feet for fluke, 50 feet for tog, 80 feet for sea bass, 100 feet for ling, etc. As an avid wreck and bottom fisherman, dogs are the bane of my fishing existence. Have any of you ever seen the big schools of doggies rise to the surface and do the conga line circles? I often wonder if the scientists in charge of these studies ever leave their computers and spend a day on the water. I can hardly imagine the impact dogfish are having on the juvenile game fish and bait populations!
