Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Mixed Bag Dan s.jpg

Dan Furman, his uncle, Lenny Crietz, and friend, Carlo Graffeo, from Pennsylvania were down in Fort Lauderdale for a wedding and decided to charter the Top Shot Sportfishing charter boat team to do some deep sea charter boat sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Fifteen to twenty minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started the day trolling the reef with two plainers down and four surface baits. Dan is an avid fresh and salt water fisherman, doing a lot of fresh water Bass fishing up in Pennsylvania.

Off of Fort Lauderdale, we have 34 artificial wrecks consisting of freighters, tug boats, etc . These wrecks hold the bait fish and in return the predators are not to far away. We trolled the reefs ranging from 80 ft. out to 200 ft. of water, zig-zagging along the way. Each angler took turns bringing in their catches, and we wound up with five Kingfish and three Bonitos.

It was now time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. At the dock, Joe, our mate, filet the Kingfish for the anglers to take home to enjoy for dinner.
