There some basic SEO tips for mass traffic
Insert the keywords within the title tag
Use the same keywords as anchor text to link to the page from different pages on your site
The text within the title tag is also within the body of the page
Don't use the exact same title tag on every page on your website
Don't do the spam the description

You must choose your right keyword and do SEO for this keyword. And you should care about your content so you can reduce bounce rate.

This is big question, but generally, there are two ways you have to do simultaneously to get traffic for your site:
On-page optimization: Write your content carefully, focus on the keyword that is related to your business. Remember some SEO techniques such as: meta description, title, URL, internal building, etc.
Off-page optimization: it includes all activity you do outside your website to navigate traffic for the site. You have to build link in Social Networks, Others' blogs, forums...
You can Google more, for example: http://www.forbes.com/sites/jaysondemer ... r-website/
