Go Fishing Forum Message Boards

So here is the report. It was cold and wet. I caught 1 short in 5 hours. Moved up and down the beach and nothing but a lot of grass and no fish. I thought it was going to hit when the birds started working just outside the breakers. But there was nothing under them . The positive is I got to use my new rod and reel which was great, added a lot of distance to the cast and the reel is very smooth. I will give it another this weekend. There is bound to be one big one just swimming by looking for a quick meal

Sounds a lot like my outing on Friday, reported under the stripers forum... Except that I didn't even get a single bite. I did manage to catch a cold though!
