Sport Fishing Fort Lauderdale Happy Day Today

Post by topshotfishing »

Mr. Laszlo from Dayton, Ohio celebrated a birthday gift from his daughter Victoria. And charter the Top Shot Fishing Team to do some Deep Sea Sport Fishing here in the sunny state of Florida.

We started off the day trolling. The conditions were overcast with East wind blowing 12-15 mph.

We got out to 650' of water and found bait, pretty deep blue water and birds in the are which are typically better conditions for offshore fishing. With two planters down, and four surface baits, we trolled the area and found some tree branches. Our first fish was a Wahoo on one of the planter rods. I worked the area and we ended up catching Black Fin Tuna, a 30 lb Wahoo and 8 Mahi Mahi fish.
Pretty much non stop action especially fun for Laszlo our one angler.

The bite slowed down and we decided to head to shallower water on the reef in 170' of water. Using kites, live bait and dead bait targeting Sailfish. We had one missed fish which was not identified and never had a Sailfish come up in the spread of baits.

All in all was a good day fishing out of Fort Lauderdale with the Top Shot Sportfishing crew.

Laszlo was a good angler and knowledge fishermen and we hope to have you back fishing with us soon. It was time to head back as the tired angler retired into the a/c salon to relax on the ride back to the dock at Bahia Mar, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
