Jason, Randy, and Casey Lynch along with their friend, Luis Bomback, all local boys from Fort Lauderdale, who own a local marine lighting business in Fort Lauderdale, chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. These anglers are customers and have fished with the Topshotfishing team in Fort Lauderdale on previous occasions.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock at the Bahia Mar Yacht center, lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started off trolling for Bullets (small Bonitos) with two bug lines out circling the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale. With ten Bullets in the 48” live bait well under the deck, we were ready to do some live bait fishing. We put out four live Bullets in 150 ft. of water while slow trolling from 90 ft. of water out to 200 ft., covering the drop off. Our first bite was on the left long bait - a 25 lb. Kingfish skyrocketed out of the water - Jason was the angler. After a fifteen minute fight, our mate, Dave, grabbed a hold of the leader and gaffed the 25 lb. Kingfish into the boat.

From there we kept slow trolling to the north of Fort Lauderdale – right short – Sailfish!!! Left short – Sailfish!!!! – a double header. As both Sailfish came out of the water, one heading north and one heading west, made for a quick Chinese fire drill. After a few minutes, one of the Sailfish threw the hook – Luis still had his Sailfish on. After a twenty-five minute fight, Dave grabbed a hold of the Sailfish for picture taking and was released to fight again.

It was now time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. The Kingfish was filet out at the dock for the anglers to take home and enjoy.
