Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Ryan Sieker from Arizona and Suzanne Conner from Fort Lauderdale chartered the Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Suzanne wanted to catch some Snappers for eating that night.

On the way out we stopped to catch some live Ballyhoo which I planned on using later on the trip. I headed out to one of the areas known for catching Snappers and tried Snapper fishing for ½ hour with no luck. The current was not in our favor since it was running too fast – 3 ½ knots – difficulty in holding the bottom.

From there we went south of Fort Lauderdale and fished a color change that was in 165 ft. of water after seeing a free jumping Sailfish. We put out four live Ballyhoos and were slow trolling the edge. Right short – the Ballyhoo is jumping out of the water!!! Something is spooking him!!! The same on the left short!!! There he is – the black shadow – no, two black shadows!!! Double header with two Sailfish on!!! Both of the Sailfish came out of the water and put on a double header spectacular show. Ian, our mate, cleared the other lines while Suzanne and Ryan enjoyed the double header Sailfish action. After a few Chinese fire drills, Suzanne brought in the first Sailfish then Ryan brought in his. Pictures were taken and the Sailfish were released to fight again

It was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, while watching the plasma TV.
