Fort Lauderdale Deep Sea Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak

Andy Busch along with his son, Chris, and daughter, Drew, all from Dallas, Texas chartered the Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at the Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316. Mom, Gina, was looking forward to doing some shopping at the Galleria Mall, so she headed over there and left Andy and their kids to enjoy their fishing.

Fifteen/twenty minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. If you venture off another ¼ of a mile you will find yourself in 500 ft. of water due to our extreme drop off. We started out trolling around the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale catching live Bullets. From there we went towards one of our local wrecks in 220 ft. of water north of Fort Lauderdale. We put out a live Bullet as bait down on the wreck. Chris was our angler and he watched the rod tip bent over, as he hopped into the fighting chair. After a twenty minute fight, Chris reeled in a 45 lb. Amberjack, which was released to fight again.

From there we went out to 350 ft. of water close to a wreck to do some Shark fishing. We put out one surface, midrange and bottom Shark bait, and one kite with two live Goggle Eyes. After an hour’s wait, we got a Shark bite on the deep rod. Chris was our angler again while the rest of the family cheered him on. After an hour and fifteen minutes, Dave, our mate, wired in a 200 lb Bull Shark. Pictures were taken and the Shark was released to fight again

It was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, while watching the plasma TV.
