Fort Lauderdale Fishing with Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat and Capt. Zsak
Sailfish Ron2.jpg

Ron and Sandy Walter from Michigan, who are down in Fort Lauderdale on vacation, chartered the Top Shot Sportfishing Charter Boat team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water by the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. We started the trip trolling looking for King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi and Bonitos with pretty blue water and north current. The anglers caught a total of five Kingfish, three Bonitos and two Tunas.

Now it was time to do some live bait fishing. We went out to 150 ft. of water and put two kites in the air with four live Mullets. Sailfish right short – Sailfish left short – hooked up - double header on. Shortly after, one of the Sailfish jumped off but we still had one hooked up. Both anglers took turns bringing in the Sailfish. After a good long and hard fight, the anglers brought the Sailfish to the side of the boat. Our mate, Dave, wired the Sailfish to the side of the boat – pictures were taken and the Sailfish was released to fight again. Congratulation to both anglers for a job well done.

It was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar Yachting Center, 801 Seabreeze Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, FL 33316, while watching the plasma TV.
