Fishing Fort Lauderdale on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Trish and Robert Jarvis from Maryland vacationing in sunny Fort Lauderdale decided to do some deep sea sport fishing aboard the Happy Day Today along with the Topshotfishing team. Winds were out of the east southeast at 10-13 mph with 3-4 ft. seas – a perfect commerce day in Fort Lauderdale FL.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, we were at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale FL in 120 ft. of water. We put two plainers down one with a blue and pink sea witch in front of a double hook Bonito strip and the other was a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon. For surface baits we had put two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips.

We trolled the reef catching a handful of Bonitos, Kingfish and two Black Fin Tunas. We stopped to make a drop with a live Goggle Eye over one of our 34 artificial wrecks located in 220 ft. of water, and Trish caught an Amberjack.

Trish and Robert went into the a/c salon for the trip back to the dock at Bahia Mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
