Fishing Fort Lauderdale on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

Steven Woodiwiss, Darren Kempf, Ricky Pollen, Louis Barbuto and Matt McGarrity from New York and New Jersey chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Winds were out of the east at 4 mph, with sun showers on and off, seas running 2-3 ft. and two cases of chilled beer aboard the boat – these boys were ready to take on whatever Mother Nature threw their way!!!!

We started off with two plainers – one with a double hooked Mullet strip and the other with a 2 ½ blue reflector drone spoon. For surface baits we had four Ballyhoos.

As I criss-crossed the reefs ranging from 80 ft. out to 200 ft. of water, all the anglers took turns bringing in the fish; however, when the rain came down heavy, Matt was the angler that never let the rain stop him. The anglers caught a total of 14 Kingfish and 11 Bonitos.

As the beer depleted, it was time to head back to the dock at Bahia Mar 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
