One bulb works another kind doesn't

Post by nrozett »

I have a Maglite 2 D cell flashlight. (D2027360329) Currently installed in it is a 2R1G06 bulb unit, which works just fine. I have tryed to install LWSA201U bulbs and the MAG+2CELL HK1A6 bulb that was in the tail of the flashlight. None of these work. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Only thing I can say is that maybe the bulbs are burned out. Do you know how to check continuity to see if the filament is good? The LWSA201 bulb should work fine in your 2D Maglite.

I just received a reply on another forum. they told me to try new batteries. My batteries were strong enough to run the LED light bulb but too weak to power the incandescent bulbs. I thought I had installed fresh batteries before working on the light. I changed the batteries and all is working fine. thanks for the reply.
