New-Hola from Southwest desert

Post by lido »

I'm planning a fishing trip to Costa Rica's west coast with a friend and researching the possibilities. Do any of you have any advice and/or experiences related to doing this? I'm not interested in charter outfitters. I just want to do panga type fishing for most any kind of fishing except billfishing, interested in snapper, grouper and dorado. Was wanting to take my own tackle but seems in country airlines have pretty strict weight limitations, has anyone else done this? Any and all info. would be appreciated, thanks lido.

Hi lido. Welcome to the forum! :welcome:

I've never been to Costa Rica, but I hear that Uncle Chuck knows a lot about the place!

Maybe search Google for Costa Rica panga fishing. Let us know if you end up going. I'm interested to hear how it goes!

Good luck!
