Potomac Rockfish Fall 2012 Summary

I fished all autumn for stripers on the Potomac River - all the way up until December 31st! I'm still trying to fine tune my spread of 7 poles on planer boards. It seems like it's just "go with it and see what we end up with" each day.

This method seemed to work fairly well for me, as I ended up with several keepers and one fish that I would call "good" at 42 inches and 27.5 pounds. Here she is

And here she is next to the 21 and 23 inchers that I caught the same day. These were all caught in the channel, running deep near Ragged Point.

This was a pretty good one, too. Caught this one near Buoy 7 on the Potomac
