My new Humminbird

Post by allingeneral »

I was trying to find a good deal on a GPS/fishfinder combo unit. I just couldn't bring myself to fork out 500 bucks for the cheapest one I could find! So, I decided that maybe I don't need GPS as badly as I thought and I settled for a Humminbird PiranhaMAX 210.

It's a nice, compact unit with a single menu button that allows you to flip through the menus with ease. It has fish ID capability and displays a nice representation of the bottom structure. I'd say that it's a pretty good deal at about $100.00.

Maybe I can get a big combo unit next Spring. The color imagery and plotting capabilities of the bigger units are amazing. Dare to dream...
