Rappahannock River, Virginia - 4/18/09

Saturday was the best fishing day I've had out on the water in a long time. We had 3 poles rigged with bottom rigs at our usual spot on the Rappahannock River, a couple miles downstream of Port Royal. We're still fine-tuning the anchor point, but I think we're getting close.
It was the first time that I've put bells on the ends of the poles to alert me of a bite, and I really liked the setup. Bells were ringing almost the entire 4 hours that we were out there. I hardly had a chance to sit down between unhooking a fish and the next bell rining and re-rigging baits, etc. I was a busy day!
We didn't catch anything huge, but we did catch eight keepers total and took them home to eat.
