Forum Categories and Feedback

Post by allingeneral »

Let me know if there is a category that you would like to see added to the boards. I'm open to suggestions. If there is an area that you would like to moderate, whether it already exists or not, let me know.

Some possibile additions include:
- eBay Auctions
- Fishing Reports (By State)

I am very interested in receiving fishing reports from some of the guides/charters in the forum as well as any new guides or charter owners who may log in. If we get to a point where there are a lot of reports being posted, I will look at the possibility of breaking them out into states. Florida and Texas would likely be two of the first to break out.

If you are a guide or charter, please remember that any posts you make to this forum should include a link to your guide or charter service website. This will help you with exposure and hopefully will provide some traffic to your site and subsequent business.

So, let me know how you would like to see things evolve around here. I'm happy to hear your thoughts and even happier to apply them when the opportunity presents itself.

Thanks Brad. I'm glad you like it here. Just remember that if you ever have a hankerin' for something to change, or for something to be added...all you need to do is ask and I'll be happy to consider it!

The above goes for everyone in the forum. I want this to be a place that outdoors enthusiasts feel free to share their thoughts and views and I want it to be formatted in a way that makes it easy to find information. No confusing forum with 50+ different categories here! :)

Well, a sure sign that you are getting some traction with search engines and traffic is the spammers are starting to show up....

Spammers have been a problem from the moment that I put this board up. I have slowed the problem down a bit by blocking users from network blocks outside the United States. If the IP address doesn't originate from the US, then they can't open the website. There have been a few instances in the past couple of weeks in which I have had to remove the filtering for one reason or another and these gaps in filtering are what has caused the spam that you've seen.
