A nice day of catfishing on the Rappahannock River

Post by catfish-hunter »

A nice day on the Rappahannock river in Northern Virginia started out a bit slow as the tide moved downriver. As the tide started to slack just a bit, I hooked into this 18 LB lunker. Its belly is fat because it must have been on a feeding frenzy. There were 4 whole fish 6-8 inches long in this bad boy's gut! Well, I'm sorry old catfish friend, but it's my turn to eat now :)

FRIED!!!

Cut into little pieces and fried in corn meal / crushed saltine crackers.
