I went down to the new spot I've been scoping out to fish today for a couple hours. No takers on frozen skippies or crawlers. Lost a lot of tackle to the Mighty Ohio though...I was fishing bottom only, forgot to take my Kat-Bobbers with me.
The water current was pretty slow and the water was way down. As far out as I could see good, It looked like the bottom was only 6-8" deep. I was fishing right beside of a feeder creek. I decided since the water level was so low I was casting out a pretty good distance out to deeper water to try to locate the cats.
I also used my ultra light and walked up the creek trying for something to use as bait. Nothing at all around but Ducks & Geese. I reckon its too cold. Not far from where I was fishing at the creek and the pool behind it was all iced up.
Here's some pics, Enjoy!

Re: First Trip in 2008...Big Skunk!!!
Thanks for the report catfishjohn. Sorry to hear about the big skunk. Sounds like you have my luck :-/
I'm not sure about those URLs for your photobucket pics. Looks like the forum truncated the URLs because they were too long...or did you somehow copy and paste them that way?
This forum also gives the option of attaching images to a post rather than linking to photobucket. Near the bottom of the page, just below the "Preview" and "Submit" buttons, there is a tab called "Upload attachment". It's pretty slick, if you ask me

Sorry about that. I should have previewed them first. I copied and pasted them that way. I'll give it another try. I'll have to shrink them down. Its in the same place that I posted the pics before of that new bank spot I was wanting to try out. Looks like If I catch it on the right day it could be productive.
I'll get back to you with the 'no fish' pics...LOL!

You don't have to shrink them down if you use the "Upload attachment" function. The forum will shrink them down for you.
Pretty cool, huh?

I did try that. It came up and said file size was too large or something like that. I'll try it again. It says
The file is too big, maximum allowed size is 256 KB.
I'll get them on here, having a bit of pc probs right now. Thanks for the help. I know it'll work, I've done it before. I need a hammer to fix this darn puter...
