South Florida Everglades Bass Fishing Reports 4-14-08

Post by peacock08 »

The fishing in the South Florida Everglades is still good considering the high water. It will only get better as the water levels drop over the next few months. We were out on Saturday and we boated 8 bass in a half-day. We had to leave just as the bass were starting to bite very well. The biggest bass was only 3 lbs., all the fish were caught on Zoom trick worms. I'm going out again this afternoon and I'll report how we do. South Florida has over 200 miles of canals that are full of largemouth bass, peacock bass, cichlids, and every other specie you can think of. It's a year round fishery with the best time from March until mid-July when you have the possibility to catch up to a 100 bass a day per angler when the conditions are right!
