Indiana Fishing

Post by WarEagle »

We finally have seen some warmer temps this past week. Air temps in the high 60's and water temps. heading back towards 60. Water temps had been in the 60's and fallen back to the low 50's which turned the fishing off almost completely. But happy days are here again.

Bluegills and crappie have been very active. And the largemouth are picking up.

I got out 3 times last week for an hour or two here and there. Spinnerbaits in shallow water were the key for largemouth. We had windy and choppy conditions the entire week. Slow rolling spinnerbaits over/around shallow cover produced very well.

The 6th Annual T.S.F.T. starts Wednesday, and that will really tell the state of affairs with fishing in Indiana.

See you then.

It's definitely time to get out there...too bad I'm busy building a garage to store my boat and don't have time to get out on the water. Once the hardware is protected, hopefully, I can get out for a few nibbles.
