Aonther tournament in the delta

Post by sporting-gent »

Our bass club had it's T.O.C. yesterday and I made it to the finals. It was close because I missed a few weeks due t family gatherings. The fishing was a bit tough. The water was 59 degrees and it started raining about one thirty.

The morning was beautiful and we had four keepers in the live well by ten. After ten the bite seemed to shut off. I finally hooked a keeper twenty minutes before the the end of the tournament to complete out limit.

It was tough fishing for everybody. All the teams weighed in limits but had to work hard for them. Lots of small fish and the big fish of the day was under four pounds. That is tiny for the delta.

My fish came on 6 1/2 kutail senkos, crawdad colored speed trap and a blue and chartreuse diving crank bait. The big fish came on a crawdad speed trap as well.

All in all it was a great day.

Nice job making it to the finals. Sounds like a pretty decent day out on the water.
